Drywall mudding and taping is the step between a rough framed wall and a surface that is ready for primer and paint. It is also the step most likely to show if it was rushed. Citified's crews pay close attention to seams, inside and outside corners, and transitions between wall and ceiling, so the finish holds up under direct light and close inspection, not just a quick walk-through.
Since founder Lovepreet started in construction in 2015 and built Citified in 2018, drywall finishing has remained the trade our earliest clients came to us for. Nearly ten years of hands-on experience and a 15-plus person crew mean we can move efficiently on both single-room repairs and full multi-unit projects without cutting corners on finish quality.

Our ProcessHow We Approach a Drywall Project
Assess & Plan
We walk the space, check the framing or existing wall condition, and plan the finish level needed for the lighting and use of the room.
Board & Prep
Drywall is installed or existing sections are cut back cleanly, with attention to fastening patterns and joint placement.
Tape & Mud
Seams, corners, and fastener heads are taped and coated in multiple passes, sanded between coats for a flat, even surface.
Finish & Inspect
Final sanding, spot checks under raking light, and cleanup, so the wall is genuinely ready for primer and paint.
Service Areas
We provide drywall mudding and taping services throughout Surrey and the Lower Mainland.
Common QuestionsDrywall Mudding & Taping FAQs
Level 4 finish is the standard used for most residential walls under regular paint or light texture, with joints and fasteners coated and sanded smooth. Level 5 adds a thin skim coat over the entire surface, which is recommended for areas with bright, direct, or raking light, glossy paint, or ceilings where imperfections are easiest to spot. We can recommend the right level based on your lighting and finish plans.
Yes. Patch and repair work is a regular part of our drywall scope, and matching the surrounding texture, sheen, and finish level is part of doing the repair properly rather than leaving a visible seam once paint goes on.
Yes. We regularly complete drywall repair and finishing in occupied residential buildings and strata properties, coordinating access and scheduling with residents, property managers, or building staff so the work happens with minimal disruption.
Timelines depend on the size of the space and the finish level required, since mud needs to dry and be sanded between coats. A single room repair may take a few days, while a full-floor or multi-unit project is scheduled around drying times and access. We'll give you a realistic timeline during your estimate.
